Limited time free pattern/tutorial for Crochet Summer Tote Bag.
Since I can't sell my patterns for my status reason, I started to work in the folder hoping it will change some time soon. This is a pattern/tutorial in the format I am planning to make all my patterns. Please, comment if you like it or don't like it and think there is a room for improvement. I will greatly appreciate it!
Crochet Summer Tote Bag
Finished Measurements
Materials
Gauge
1 motif = 2 5/8''/ 7 cm using 1.4 mm hook.
TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.
Notes.
1) Make and connect all the motifs before sewing a bag. Check if your gauge is different and adjust size of the bag.
2) Make 1 loop of 10 motifs, connecting as you go. Then make 5 more loops, connecting every motif as you go.
Make bottom of the bag, consisted of 5 motifs, connecting them to both halves of the last, 6th loop.)
Motif 1.1
1 ROW
Ch 8, ss 1 in first ch.
2 ROW
Ch 1, sc 16 into the loop.
3 ROW
Ch
1, sc 2 over second and first rows (into the loop), ch 9 picot (ch 9,
ss in first ch), *sc 4 over second and first rows (into the loop), ch 9
picot (ch 9, ss in first ch)*, repeat from *to* 4 more times, sc 2 into
the loop, ss 1 in first sc in this row.
4 ROW
*In next ch 9 picot: sc 2, hdc 2, dc 2, tr 3, ch 3 picot, tr 2, dc 2, hdc 2, sc 2;
skip
1 sc in 3rd row (loop), ss 1 in next sc*, repeat from * to * 5 more
times (except make last ss in the first sc of this row).
Motif 1.2 - 1.9
Work the same as first motif except for 2 last petals.
Instead
of ch 3 picot at the top of 5th and 6th petals, make picots with sc in
the middle into another motif to connect 2 motifs:
ch 1, sc 1 in ch 3 picot of neighboring flower petal, ch 1, ss 1 in first ch.
Finish the motif.
Motif 1.10
Work the same as first motif except for 2,3,5,6 petals.
Instead of ch 3 picots at the top of 2,3,5,6 petals make
ch 1, sc 1 in ch 3 picot of neighboring flower petal, ch 1, ss 1 in first ch.
Finish the motif.
You finished first loop out of 10 motifs.
Make
5 more loops, connecting EVERY motif as you go either in ch 3 picot at
the top of corresponding petal or in connecting sc if 2 petals already
connected to connect 3rd one .
Bottom.
Bottom is consisted out of 5 motifs.
Make 7.1 connecting:
1st petal to 6.3
2nd - to 6.2-6.3 connecting sc
3rd - to 6.2
4th - to 6.10
5th - to 6.9-6.10 connecting sc
6th - to 6.9
Make 7.2 and 7.3 connecting to both sides of the bag the same way as 7.1
Make 7.4 connecting:
1st petal to 6.2-7.1 connecting sc
2nd - to 6.1-6.2 connecting sc
3rd - to the bottom petal of 6.1
4th - to the previous connection of 6.1-3rd petal
5th - to 6.1-6.10 connecting sc
6th - to 6.10 - 7.1 connecting sc
Make 7.5 connecting the same way as 7.4 to create another corner.
